More about Corner Radiator Valves

Corner radiator valves are a practical choice when you want a compact 90 degree valve arrangement that keeps the control head closer to the radiator or wall. This can reduce how far the valve projects into the room compared with a typical angled pattern. They are often considered where pipework comes out of the wall, but the correct choice still depends on how the pipe enters the valve and where the radiator connection sits, not on pipe direction alone.

The main buying decision is geometry. Check whether the radiator has side, bottom or centre connections, then confirm whether the valve body suits that layout. It is also important to verify left and right orientation from the actual product details, unless the valve is specifically described as reversible. In this collection, the shared format is corner configuration, but customers should still match the valve to the radiator tapping, pipe route and the final position of the control head.

Control method is the next key difference. Manual corner valves suit rooms where you want direct adjustment by hand and do not need automatic temperature control. Thermostatic radiator valves, or TRVs, adjust water flow automatically to help maintain the selected room temperature. With a compact corner body, access matters. Make sure the head can still be reached and turned easily once the radiator is fitted. For TRVs in particular, the sensor should not be trapped too close to the radiator, behind curtains or in still air, as that can affect how it senses room temperature.

This range includes brass corner radiator valves for central heating systems, with manual and thermostatic options, round and square handle styles, and finishes including anthracite, black, chrome and white. That gives some flexibility if you are matching visible valves to the radiator or surrounding fittings while still choosing by layout first. The corner body shape only describes the valve orientation. It does not by itself tell you whether the valve is manual, thermostatic or how the return side is arranged.

Before ordering, confirm the connection size and method, radiator tail thread, flow direction and any pressure, temperature or presetting data shown on the product. After fitting, the radiator should be balanced so it receives the intended flow. If your pipework rises from the floor instead, Angled Radiator Valves may be the better match.
