Product information
Adaptor pipe fittings help you make a clean, accurate transition when one side of the job does not match the other. That could mean connecting pipework to a threaded valve, appliance or fitting, or moving from one compatible connection system to another. In this range, the key is not simply the stated size. It is the full description of both ends, so you can choose the adaptor that actually matches the connection you are working with.
The first check is always each side of the fitting. On the threaded end, confirm the thread size, the thread standard where relevant, and whether you need male or female. On the pipe side, check the pipe size, material and jointing method. A 15mm x 1/2 inch adaptor, for example, still needs the right thread form and connection style for the job. Matching nominal sizes on their own do not guarantee that two threaded or pipe interfaces will work together.
This collection includes straight and elbow adaptor patterns, which gives you a practical choice depending on how the pipe run approaches the connection point. Straight adaptors suit inline connections, while elbows can help where space, valve position or appliance layout means the pipe needs to turn as it meets the threaded end. You will also find male, female and taper variants, plus options such as short thread, extended thread and swivel patterns where the connection detail matters to the installation.
Jointing method is the next decision. Much of the range uses compression connections, which create a mechanical joint and can usually be dismantled later if access or maintenance is needed. There are also end feed, solder ring and press adaptor options in the wider range. These make the transition in different ways and are better matched to installations already using those jointing systems. If you want to narrow your choice by method first, see Compression Fittings, End Feed Fittings or Solder Ring Fittings.
Material, finish and approvals can help you refine the final choice. Within this collection you will find brass and copper options, along with selected chrome plated versions where the fitting may remain visible. Product data in this category also includes WRAS approval and recognised BS EN standards on supported items, but those details should still be checked against the individual fitting and intended application. Once you have matched both ends properly, choosing the right adaptor becomes much more straightforward.
